Information:
This webinar investigates, defines, and demonstrates phonology as it is situated in the structured literacy approach. Phonological awareness is integral in developing the reading brain, especially phonemic awareness; the two will be defined and differentiated. Participants will learn the continuum of skills that bring students from oral language into the reading process. Instruction will cover the basics of sound production and highlight the importance of teaching sounds using a multisensory approach. This session provides teachers with many practical, hands-on activities that can be implemented immediately in your classroom.
