This professional development webinar explores the scientific frameworks that help shape the “science of reading.” Participants will discover how structured literacy applies the science of reading in the classroom. The instructional principles and elements of structured literacy will be outlined and explained and connected to the Orton-Gillingham approach to reading instruction. The first in a series exploring the science of reading and structured literacy in depth, you can also view this webinar as a stand-alone overview of the general science guiding best practices.
